Sometimes having a brother is better than having a superhero.
(~Marc Brown)
"We are all very anxious to be understood, and it is very hard not to be. But there is one thing much more necessary."
"What is that, Grandmother?"
"To understand other people."

(~George MacDonald)
Because there's nothing more beautiful than the way the ocean refuses to stop kissing the shoreline, no matter how many times it's sent away.
(~Sarah Kay)
Write hard and clear about what hurts.
(~Ernest Hemingway)
Don't be ashamed to weep; 'tis right to grieve. Tears are only water, and flowers, trees, and fruit cannot grow without water. But there must be sunlight also. A wounded heart will heal in time, and when it does, the memory and love of our lost ones is sealed inside to comfort us.
(~Brian Jacques)
"I wish to be home, for there is no place like home."

(~Frank L. Baum, The Wizard of Oz)

Shared with me by my sweet Audrey Belle.
A person can learn a lot from a dog, even a loopy one like ours. Marley taught me about living each day with unbridled exuberance and joy, about seizing the moment and following your heart. He taught me to appreciate the simple things-a walk in the woods, a fresh snowfall, a nap in a shaft of winter sunlight. And as he grew old and achy, he taught me about optimism in the face of adversity. Mostly, he taught me about friendship and selflessness
and, above all else, unwavering loyalty.

(~John Grogan, Marley and Me)
